Hi,
Well, the best place to search for these kinds of textures is google images :), textures.com, texture heaven, and so on. you can take images of, let's say, wall plaster, eroded concrete, dirt, rough metal and manipulate them in photoshop to get the masks that you need. a good resolution should be between 2K-8K and saved out as png so it won't get degraded as jpg does.

Love the video. I tried with certain textures but never get similar results. The textures you work with are so clean, no tiling at all, looks so clean but mine so messy. Is there anyway that you could release the textures you have used in the tutorral so that I can practice?

Thanks in advanvce!

Hi,

Loving the tutorial. They way to use textures for sure, really creative. I’d like to ask you the best way of sourcing my own textures similar to what you have used in the tutorial “realistic road” ie spots, cracks, dust and leaves. What is the best file format and size to work with in photoshop once you have sourced the images.

Any tips for these textures creation in photoshop would also be very much appreciated.

NB I’m working with Corona for 3ds max & hope to prepare textures in photoshop.
